The “3rd Annual Global Capitalism Awareness (GCA) #ROCKME” event promotes Capitalism as a political and economic catalyst for world wide free enterprise and entrepreneurship.
The annual October event was founded by Michael Malgeri, the author of the “Johnny Profit” series of children’s books, which teach young people the basics of Capitalism and the gold standard through short, fun fiction. Michael founded the GCA and #ROCKME movements in partnership with Liberty International, to educate and empower young people across the globe on the power of economic liberty and the innovation it spawns.
#ROCKME stands for “Rewards Of Capitalism; Knowledge, MORALITY, Empowerment.” There is a strong emphasis on creating awareness of the moral aspects of Capitalism. Humans have an innate desire to do what’s right. However, if individuals and societies lack the appropriate guidance for successfully achieving economic goals, each and all will fall prey to Socialism and the horrific results from implementing its evil ideas.
The event delivers entrepreneurial workshops, and discussions by seasoned scholars and business professionals. The goal is to educate young Africans and emerging nations on how the ideas of Capitalism and free trade can increase human productivity, and worldwide economic prosperity.

This year’s event is being held at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, with the theme: Imagine Africa Driven by Capitalism, Free Trade, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship.

The young people of Africa are encouraged to write a 500 word essay on the theme above, and submit their entry to [email protected] for a chance to win cash prizes, and acquire well deserved recognition as a worldwide advocate of liberty, and the ideals and benefits of Capitalism.
